1What content is built from

Course material is grounded in, and cites:

• Indian legislation — principally the POCSO Act, 2012, the POSH Act, 2013 and the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015;
• published safeguarding guidance from recognised sporting and government bodies;
• peer-reviewed research, where a claim is empirical rather than legal;
• the practical experience of coaches, athletes and safeguarding practitioners.

Where a claim rests on law or research, the source is cited so a reader can check it. Where it rests on professional judgement, we say so rather than dressing it as settled fact.

2How a course is made

1. Scoping. The competencies a course must serve are fixed against the standard before anything is written, so content exists to prepare a coach for assessment rather than to fill a syllabus.
2. Drafting. Written by, or with, practitioners with direct experience of the subject.
3. Subject-matter review. Reviewed by at least one independent expert in the relevant field — safeguarding, sports medicine, law or athlete welfare as the topic requires.
4. Legal review. Any material describing legal duties or reporting obligations is checked by a qualified lawyer before publication.
5. Lived-experience review. For material on women’s and girls’ safety, review includes women athletes and coaches with direct experience of the environments described.
6. Sign-off and versioning. Published with a version and a date, recorded against the standard version it serves.

3How experts contribute

Every contributing expert signs a written agreement before their material is published. Each agreement covers, at minimum:

• Rights. Assignment or licence of their contribution to us, so we can publish, translate, adapt and maintain it — and so learners’ access does not depend on a contributor remaining involved.
• Attribution. How they are credited, and their right to have credit removed if material is later changed beyond what they endorsed.
• Warranty of originality. That the contribution is theirs, and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
• Accuracy and currency. Their responsibility to flag when guidance or law they relied on has moved.
• Conflicts of interest. Disclosure of any commercial interest in the subject, and a bar on using the platform to promote their own services.
• Confidentiality. Protection of scenarios and assessment criteria, which cannot be public without destroying the assessment.

The agreements themselves are private contracts and are not published. What they must cover is stated here so the arrangement is visible even though the documents are not.

4Keeping it current

Every course is reviewed at least once a year, and immediately when the law, an official guideline or a cited standard changes. Because certification is renewed annually, a coach is reassessed against current material rather than the version they first studied.

Material changes are versioned. A revision never shortens or invalidates a certificate already issued — see the Certificate Policy.

5Corrections

If you find something inaccurate, out of date or misleading, tell us at support@axiopro.in. We acknowledge within two working days.

Where an error could have affected a certification decision, we correct the material, re-examine the affected assessments, and contact the coaches concerned. We do not quietly edit and move on.

6Independence

We do not accept payment to include, favour or omit content. No sponsor, academy, federation or government body has editorial control over what a course teaches or how an assessment is scored.

Where a body adopts the Safe Sport Standard, adoption does not give it the ability to alter the standard, the scenarios or a coach’s result.
