Certificate Policy

1What a certificate attests to

An Axio certificate states that, on the date it was issued:

• the holder’s identity was verified against government records through DigiLocker;
• the holder demonstrated every competency in the named standard, at the version stated on the certificate;
• each competency was demonstrated through spoken responses to scenarios, evaluated against published criteria.

2Validity

A certificate is valid for one year from its issue date. The expiry date is printed on it and returned by every verification check.

Validity is deliberately short. Standards move, and a claim made four years ago about someone’s judgement is not evidence about them today.

Every certificate carries the version of the standard it was assessed against. A later revision of the standard does not shorten, invalidate or downgrade a certificate already issued — it applies at renewal.

3Renewal

Renewal is a fresh assessment against the standard as it stands then, using new scenarios — not a repeat of the same questions and not a formality. We remind you at sixty, thirty and seven days before expiry.

A lapsed certificate shows as expired on public verification. It is not revoked and carries no adverse implication: it means the holder has not been reassessed, nothing more. You can renew after expiry; the new certificate runs a year from its own issue date.

4Verification

Every certificate has a unique number and an unguessable public link, reachable by QR code. Anyone can check it without an account, for free, at axiopro.in/verify.

A check returns the holder’s status and nothing more than:

• whether the certificate is active, expired, suspended or revoked;
• the issue and expiry dates, and the standard version;
• the holder’s first name and last initial, sport, city and age groups coached.

Verification never discloses an email address, a phone number, any part of an Aadhaar number, a date of birth, assessment recordings, or which competencies took more than one attempt.

5Suspension and revocation

These are different, and the difference is visible to anyone checking.

Suspension

Reversible, and used while a serious concern is being investigated. A suspended certificate shows as suspended and should not be relied on until the matter resolves.

Revocation

Permanent, and used where the certificate should never have stood. Grounds include:

• identity fraud or impersonation during verification;
• assessment fraud — another person, a script or an AI system answering on the holder’s behalf;
• a finding by a court, tribunal, sports body or statutory authority that makes the certificate misleading to the public;
• a material error by us in issuing it.

A revoked certificate shows as revoked permanently. We do not delete it, because a certificate that quietly disappears is worse than one that plainly says it was withdrawn.

6Process, appeal and reporting

Before suspending or revoking we tell the holder what we have and give them a reasonable chance to respond, unless the risk of harm makes immediate action necessary. Decisions are recorded in an append-only audit log.

A holder may appeal within thirty days by writing to support@axiopro.in. Appeals are decided by someone not involved in the original decision.

To report a certificate you believe is being misused or misrepresented, write to legal@axiopro.in with the certificate number.

7Certificate records

Certificate records are retained permanently, including after an account closes, under the name shown at issue. A certificate that cannot be checked a year later would not be worth issuing. See the Privacy Policy for how this sits alongside your right to erasure.
